Tanja Brieden wins the FIRS – JFI 2025 Best Student Paper Award

We are delighted to announce that Tanja Brieden has been awarded the prestigious FIRS–JFI 2025 Best Student Paper Award for her outstanding paper, “Anything but Equity – On Banks’ Preference for Hybrid Debt.”

Her paper was selected from over 100 submissions by the FIRS Board of Directors and the Journal of Financial Intermediation (JFI) Editorial Team. It was recognized for its outstanding contribution to the field of financial intermediation and for best representing the mission, spirit, and readership of the JFI.

Prize was awarded at the FIRS Conference on May 31st, 2025, in Seoul.
