Deadlines and Selection Process

We offer up to four positions in our PhD program in Finance. Positions usually start in the fall (October).

Application period for positions starting in the fall 2024

• Application period opened: November 1, 2023 (2:00pm CET – Central European Time).
• Deadline for applications: January 21, 2024 (11:59pm PST – Pacific Standard Time).

VGSF will make a round of offers after the application deadline.

The application period for positions starting in October 2025 will presumably start on November 1, 2024.

Selection process

Step I: Selection

The admission committee, which includes VGSF faculty members, evaluates all complete applications. The best applicants are invited for an interview (in person or via skype).

Step II: Admission offer

The admission committee determines a final ranking of applications and sends admission offers.

Step III: Admission confirmation

When the admission offer has been accepted, the successful applicants will receive a confirmation of admission.
