Lina Arustamyan

Lina is from Armenia and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Armenian State University of Economics. She earned her first Master’s degree in Economics from the American University of Armenia. Inspired by her academic research, she worked for two years as a Research Analyst at an Armenian think tank, where she contributed to research articles in finance and economics and conducted macroeconomic studies in collaboration with international consulting firms such as McKinsey & Company.
Building on this experience, Lina further developed her programming skills by working as a Data Analyst and Statistician before moving to Vienna to pursue a Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. For her master’s thesis, she explored sequential Bayesian persuasion in the context of entrepreneurial finance, employing a reinforcement learning approach.
Her current research interests include global macroeconomics, decision theory, and financial econometrics.
In her free time, Lina enjoys hiking, singing, and songwriting. She also loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.
