John A. Doukas Doctoral Best Paper Award for Zhou Ren

Congratulations to our VGSF student Zhou Ren, who won the John A. Doukas Doctoral Best Paper Award for his job market paper, „Real Effects of Bernanke-Kuttner: The Risk Channel of Monetary Policy Announcements on Corporates.“

The prize was awarded at the European Financial Management Association (EFMA) Annual Meeting 2026.

Zhou is already the second VGSF student to receive this prestigious prize. In 2022, it was awarded to our graduate Alessandro Melone.

Zhou’s research interests include macro-finance, international finance, empirical banking, and firm dynamics.
