GARP Risk Management Research Award for Pan Yiming

Congratulations to our VGSF student Pan Yiming, who won the GARP Risk Management Research Award for his paper, “Lendable Inventory Concentration,Short-Selling Risk, and Mispricing.“

In his paper, Pan studies how concentrated lendable inventory creates short-selling risk and affects asset prices.

The prize was awarded at the European Financial Management Association (EFMA) Annual Meeting 2026 and is sponsored by the Global Association of Risk Professionals and recognizes a paper with strong potential to advance our understanding of financial risk management.
