Born and raised in Vienna, Wolfgang studied Business Administration (specialization Investment Analysis and Banking) at the University of Vienna. There he attended several courses also from other disciplines, like statistics and psychology. For the last two years of his studies he worked as a quantitative analyst at a fund of hedge funds, accordingly his master thesis dealt with optimization techniques for a fund of hedge funds portfolio. In his current research Wolfgang focuses on the corporate bond market, especially on explaining changes in the credit spread. Another field of interest is market micro structure.
