Eda Orhun obtained her B.Sc. in Business Administration at Bilkent University in Turkey where she studied with full scholarship due to her success in the nationwide university entrance exam. In the third year of her university education, she spent one semester at Fachhochschule Pforzheim, Germany, as an exchange student where she completed the International Management Program (IMP). During her studies, she served as a teaching assistant in the tutorial sessions of “Introduction to Calculus I”. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she obtained a Master degree in Finance at University of Skövde in Sweden with Swedish Institute (SI) full scholarship. She also has worked as an intern at finance/accounting departments of major corporations.

Currently she is in the fifth year of
the PhD program and will be available for interviews at the AFA 2012
meeting in Chicago.

  • Since 2007: PhD student at the Vienna Graduate School of Finance (full scholarship)
  • 2006-2007: Master in Finance with SI scholarship, University of Skövde, Sweden
  • 2002-2006: BSc in Business Administration, Bilkent University, Turkey

Mergers & Acquisitions, Voluntary Disclosures, Information Economics, Banking and Financial Intermediation, Corporate Finance and Game Theory
