Orhun Eda

General Information:

Although born in the southern part of Turkey on 12/12/1984, Eda Orhun had grown up at the very north-western edge of Turkey due to her father’s military profession. After completing high school, in 2002 she moved to the capital, Ankara to study Business Administration at Bilkent University where she studied with full scholarship due to her success in the university entrance exam. At the third year of her university education, she spent one semester at Fachhochschule Pforzheim, Germany as an exchange student where she completed International Management Program (IMP). During her studies, she served as a teaching assistant at the tutorial sessions of “Introduction to Calculus I” class which is offered for the freshmen of Economics and Business departments at her university.

 In addition to this, she was holding private lessons in Math for high school students. Upon completion of undergraduate studies, she took the opportunity to study Master in Finance; which has been her main interest area of business; in Sweden with Swedish Institute (SI) scholarship. She had also internship experiences at the finance/accounting departments of major corporations. In her spare time, she likes traveling, exploring new cultures, learning foreign languages and reading history and she performs running and swimming.

Education:

• Since 2007: PhD student at the Vienna Graduate School of Finance (full scholarship)
• 2006-2007: Master in Finance with SI scholarship, University of Skövde, Sweden
• Feb- July 2005: EU-Erasmus Exchange Semester (Certificate of IMP), FH Pforzheim, Germany
• 2002-2006: BSc in Business Administration, Bilkent University, Turkey
