Finance Paper Reading

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In this course students learn about key papers in financial economics, required for understanding more recent papers, and to facilitate the process of reviewing the literature for their own research.
The course is based on student presentations of articles assigned each week.

A presentation should emphasize and identify:
1. the general context and the position of the paper in the literature in terms of the questions addressed and questions contributions
2. main assumptions of the paper
3. main results and the (economic) intuition behind the results.

Students are expected to read the assigned articles. Grading is based on presentations and classroom participation.
